Curator promotes participation in Heritage Book

Stephanie Macchia, curator of the Washington Historical Museum, told .. member of the Washington Rotary Club how they, and all Wilkes Countians, can write their family stories for inclusion in "The Heritage of Wilkes County, Georgia." The publication of the book is planned for 2009 and anyone may include family stories and photos without charge (up to 500 words and one picture). A writing workshop for all interested participants is scheduled for November 11. Forms and information are available at the Washington Historical Museum, the Chamber of Commerce, and The News-Reporter office.
