Billie Frank Gresham

Funeral services for Billie Frank Gresham, 66, were held Wednesday, October 29, 2008, at the New Hope CME Church, Sharon, with Rev. Vernon White officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery. He died October 22 at his home.

Mr. Gresham was a native of Taliaferro County and was the son of the late Leonard Gresham and Willie Mae Gresham. He was a member of New Hope CME Church where he served on the Steward Board for many years and was president of the choir. He was employed as a carpenter by the Housing Authority of the City of Washington.

Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Lillie Pearl Gresham; a son, Lanny D. Gresham; a daughter, Joann Davis of Athens; two sisters, Lilliose Deal and Margaret Glymph of Bronx, N.Y.; four brothers, Rev. Cecil Gresham and Leotis Gresham of Augusta, James Gresham, New York, and Willie R. Gresham, Sharon; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

McLendon Memorial Funeral Home of Washington was in charge of arrangements.
