Fulani Doughty earns board certification as guidance counselor
Fulani Doughty of Washington has attained certification as a National Certified Counselor (NCC) through the National Board of Certified Counselors, Inc. (NBCC).
Currently employed by the Elbert County Board of Education as a guidance counselor, Doughty joins more than 40,000 NCCs who are certified through NBCC.
Doughty is an educator, consultant, and professional counselor. He has worked in the mental health field since 2003 and has extensive experience serving those that desire personal development and that have resource deficits, addictions, mild, moderate and/or severe mental illnesses.
In addition to his employment with the Elbert County BOE, Doughty has established Logos Counseling & Consulting Services, a part-time counseling and educational consulting practice located at 100 Cheney Parkway in Washington.
Doughty has worked with all age groups and has decided to focus his current practice on issues of the family, educational planning and employee assistance programs.
NBCC, located in Greensboro, N.C., is the largest national counselor credentialing organization in the United States. National Certification promotes professional accountability and ensures that consumers' rights are protected through the NBCC Code of Ethics.
