Ashley Land entertained at miscellaneous shower Oct. 11
Ashley Brooke Land of Evans, bride-elect of Charles Richard Roberts Jr., also of Evans, was entertained at a miscellaneous drop-in bridal shower Saturday afternoon, October 11, at the home of Jeffrey and Tammi Land in Evans. Hostesses for the occasion were Tammy Land of Washington, Lindsey Land of Danburg, Janet Keve of Bishop, and Jennifer and Jamie Land of Statesboro.
Miss Land was presented a corsage of daisies in fall shades to accent her teal top worn over complementing slacks.
Ferns, pumpkins and fall chrysanthemums flanked the front door of the home with the fall décor continuing throughout.
A table in the foyer displayed a crystal framed portrait of the engaged couple, a gift from the hostesses, and a basket filled with Tic-Tac breath mints embellished in fall colors and imprinted with "Ashley & Rick 'Mint' To Be".
The dining table was covered with a copper damask cloth and featured a fall color chrysanthemum flanked by golden hurricane lamps. From the tables guests enjoyed cake squares, chicken salad tarts, ham pin wheels, bacon triskets, fresh fruit and dip, strawberry cream pastry bites, L'il Smokies, sausage balls, cheese ball and crackers, strawberry cheese ball and crackers, nut balls, cheese straws and punch.
Forty guests were invited. Special guests included the bride-elect's grandmothers, Janette Land and Grace Paschall of Washington, and the prospective bridegroom's mother, Debra Roberts of Augusta.
