Karla Dawson, bride-elect of Josh Grimaud, was guest of honor at a miscellaneous drop-in shower Saturday, October 25, at the home of Vonice Wells on Glen Street in Washington. Co-hostesses with Mrs. Wells were Jillian Andrews and Alicia DeWeese, also of Washington.

For the occasion Miss Dawson wore black slacks and a mock two-piece top designed with a high waist-belted sweater over a white blouse. She was presented a corsage of measuring spoons nestled among lime green pompons, Burgundytipped chrysanthemums with lime green centers and greenery.

As guests arrived, they registered in the bride's book placed on a dropleaf table near the front entrance.

Miss Dawson received her guests and opened gifts in the living room.

Refreshments were served in the dining room from a table covered with a brown floor-length cloth and centered with a fall arrangement that included colorful chrysanthemums and pompons. Guests enjoyed a pumpkin cake topped with flowers, cheese straws, mixed nuts, and green punch from the silver punch bowl. On the sideboard in the dining room was a setting of candles and pyracantha berries.

The hostesses presented the brideelect a place setting in her china.

Approximately 40 guests attended.
