Samantha Wheatley celebrates eighth birthday October 15

Samantha Wheatley, daughter of Greg and Crystal Wheatley, celebrated her eighth birthday on October 15 and was treated to several festivities.

Samantha first celebrated on Friday, October 10, immediately after school. She and her friends had an after school snack of ice cream sundaes they created themselves using various toppings.

After snacks they went to Augusta where they had pizza and cake in a reserved party room at Adventure Crossing. Samantha's cake was in the shape of a Hannah Montana guitar.

After pizza and cake, the girls used their tickets and tokens for rides on the roller coaster, hot air balloon, carousel, to play putt-putt and then to enjoy games in which the girls turned in their reward tickets for their choice of prizes.

After the Adventure Island trip the group returned to Samantha's house for a slumber party. The party ended the following day at McDonald's where they all had breakfast and the parents picked up their daughters.

Celebrating the ice cream sundaes, the Adventure Island trip and slumber party were Samantha and her parents; sister, Madison; Laney Thornton, Alyssa Holley, Kelsie Scott, and Brittany Byrd. Samantha's grandmother, Pam Davis, and aunt, Rebecca, joined the party for the ice cream sundaes and Adventure Island trip.

On Samantha's birthday she celebrated with her second grade classmates at the Washington- Wilkes Primary School. Samantha jointly had a party with her friend Will Hite. They each celebrated with a cookie cake. Samantha's was a pink Georgia Bulldog and Will's was a red and black Georgia. The girls shared Samantha's cake and the boys enjoyed a slice of Will's. They also shared Doritos and CapriSuns. Attending this party with the children were Samantha's mother and sister, Madison, and Will's mother, Christen Hite.
