Sherree Bufford Sherree Bufford of Grovetown, a current nursing student at Augusta State University, was recently awarded the Anne Corbett Nursing Scholarship by the Georgia Baptist Association.

The scholarship was presented at the Annual Meeting of the Georgia Association on October 21. This year's meeting was held in Washington and was simulcast to Lincolnton and Greensboro. Mrs. Bufford, a former Washington resident, was presented the check by Dr. Johnathan Gray of the Georgia Baptist Foundation at the Lincolnton Baptist Church.

Each year the Georgia Baptist Association presents the scholarship to the nursing student who meets the set criteria. The $1000 scholarship is made possible by a fund set up by the family of the late Anne Corbett, a well-known nurse, to help nursing students reach their goal
