High school, middle school to host open house Mon., Nov. 17 at 3:30
Washington-Wilkes Comprehensive High School and Washington- Wilkes Middle School will host an open house on Monday, November 17, for parents and students of each school. From 3:30-5:30 p.m., parents may pick up their children's latest progress reports and meet with teachers. This will be the second open house of the current school year.
In addition, parents of W-WCHS students will be asked to visit the computer lab on the 200-wing in order to complete a brief survey pertaining to school issues. Valuable data from the surveys will be used to plan ways to meet the needs of students, parents, and the community in the future. Members of the W-WCHS Student Council will be available to offer assistance in the computer lab.
It is the desire of both W-WCHS and W-WMS to enhance parent/ school communications. "We are committed to monitoring student progress and providing opportunities for parents to be informed and address concerns they may have," said W-WCHS Principal Steve Echols. "Through preventive measures and parent/school collaboration, the students of W-WCHS and W-WMS can experience greater success. So, please come out and support this event, meet the educators involved in your child's life, and learn about wonderful things happening at W-WCHS and WWMS."
