Last Wednesday, G.B. and I took a trip to the mountains of North Georgia and North Carolina. The scenery was beautiful -- about the prettiest I can remember seeing. It was a good trip and a fun day. We got home about 10:30 p.m. and I was tired. My bed surely did sleep good that night. ƒSupper guests of Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Dunnaway Sunday evening were Mr. and Mrs. Kevin Holt, Mallory and Kinsley of Martinez; Laura Epps and Wayne Sanders of Augusta; and Curtis Holt, Devin and Austin of Wilkes County. ƒWe are sorry to hear that Wade Dunnaway was ill, so he and Lisa did not join the family for supper. We surely hope Wade gets better real soon. ƒMiss Grace Dunaway and Alex Dunaway's visitors last week were Bobbi Thornton, Linda Standard, and Tommy Dunnaway. Alex visited his sister, Mrs. Louise Burt in Washington. ƒMrs. Richard Phillips left last Thursday for a visit with her son, Steven Currie, and grandson Evan in Greensboro, N.C. Mrs. Currie was away on a business trip to Asheville. Brenda returned home to Washington Sunday afternoon. Richard left Thursday for a visit with his daughter, Rebecca Phillips, in Conyers. He also returned home Sunday.

ƒHunter Sifre spent Friday through Sunday with Roy Chesnut. ƒWe are sorry to hear that Lona Ingram Chesnut is not feeling well and will undergo some more tests. We wish her well. ƒConnor and Calley Ryll spent Friday with their grandmother, Mrs. Lucille Ingram. ƒJohn and Jennifer Eggenspiller of Columbus, Ohio, are visiting her mother, Mrs. Billy Glenn, and Mr. Glenn. ƒMr. and Mrs. Claude Ingram returned home November 6 after a five day cruise to the Bahamas. They report a fun trip. ƒAudrye and Michael Mathe and Linda Standard visited Sarah Huff during the week. ƒCassie Goldman and Bryson spent Tuesday and Thursday with her mother, Deanne Johnson in Hull. ƒStephanie Haynes and Chip attended a Tiger Cub Scout Gold Rush in Harlem last weekend. Skyla visited with a friend while mother and brother wee away. ƒI visited my mother, Blanche Wallace, in Lincoln County several times last week. On Sunday I joined Mickey and Nan Goff of McCormick and Shannon Thomason and Wes Butler of Danburg for dinner with mother. ƒMrs. Jenelle Newsome, Jim and Karan Newsome visited Jamie, Charlene, and Anna Newsome in Martinez Friday. Rev. Newsome visited his mother and enjoyed supper with her Saturday evening. ƒI made a trip to Augusta Wednesday. I visited Carol Dragon and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Sleister, both in Columbia County. ƒHilda Palmer and Ann Saggus are among those who are celebrating a birthday this week.

ƒOur prayer concerns include Lois South, Helen Ross, Annie Kate Strother, Dot Shank, Ethel Harris, Claire Nelson, Grace Dunnaway, Wade Dunnaway, Mildred Steed, Barbara Adams, Betty Moore, Lona Chesnut, Will Souther, Duncan Johnson, Nan Goff, Blanche Wallace, Shannon Thomason, Jenelle Newsome, Henry Strother, Frances Moon, Bill Mobley, Linda and Clint Albea, Bernice and Jane Hudson, Sarah Huff, Elizabeth Dunnaway, Ann Andrews, Warren and Lois Nunn, Morrison and Priscilla Maxwell, Alma O'Neal, Lisa Franklin, Willie Ruth Freeman, Lila Edwards, Wade Palmer, G.B. Newsome, Sherry Newsome, Bennie Martin, Linda Stevens, Stephanie Chapman, Dan, Mildred, and Jerry McAvoy, Kenneth Mann, Martin Burgess, George Hale, George Casey, Ronnie Callaway, Mr. and Mrs. James Lee, Lily Pink Cullars, Mary Ruff, Bill Kortrey, Cindy McCarty, Jerry Robinson, Beth and Olin Reed, Talmadge and Kathleen Reed, Charles Goff, Rose Newby, the family of Margaret Pennington, Katherine Hargrove, Katherine Echols and Bobby Myers. ƒThe Bible study group met at the home of James and Linda Smith Tuesday evening. The group will meet with Bill and Tonya Fair this Tuesday evening. Dr. Dupree is our teacher.
