Funeral services for Jessie Walton, 70, of Tignall were held Sunday, November 9, 2008, at the Reeves Chapel Baptist Church, Tignall, with Minister Marilyn Smith as eulogist. Interment was in the church cemetery. He died Wednesday, November 5.

Mr. Walton was a native of Wilkes County and the son of the late Robert and Fannie Lou Walton. He was a member of Reeves Chapel Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son, Jerry Norman of Lithonia; and three sisters, Laura M. Walton of New York, Bessie Norman and Lillian Norman, Tignall.

Pallbearers included Ashley Heard, Larry Raiford, Thurston Cade, Freddie Walton, Randy Norman and Roger Norman.

McLendon Memorial Funeral Home of Washington was in charge of arrangements.
