Mary C. Reid Women on Mission meet at First Baptist November 3
The Mary C. Reid Women on Mission of the First Baptist Church met in the Conference Room Monday morning, November 3.
Mrs. Dennis Hopkins led the reading of the WMU Watchword, read the WMU Mission Statement and offered a prayer.
Mrs. James Johnson prayed for those with special needs.
For the monthly mission in action project, plans were made for $60 to be given to the Walhalla Foundation to buy coats and shoes for two Romanian children and $100 would go towards the Operation Christmas Child Shoebox ministry.
Mrs. Eldon Holes gave the prayer calendar and prayed for the missionaries.
Mrs. Joe Harris asked for volunteers for the Salvation Army bell ringing during the holiday season.
Miss Hopkins dismissed the group to attend the World Day of Prayer service at the Georgia Baptist Mission Center.
Members present were Mrs. Mary Ann Bentley, Mrs. Lynwood Cofer, Mrs. Joe Harris, Mrs. Wayne Henderson, Mrs. Eldon Holes, Mrs. Dennis Hopkins, Mrs. James Johnson, Mrs. Gene Pollock and Mrs. Charles Reese.
