Debbie Wells and Kathy Dinneweth have returned from a threeweek cross-country driving adventure which took them as far west as California enjoying many beautiful and interesting sights along the way. l Visiting during the weekend with Mabel Johnson were Carole Murphy of Bishop and Johnny and Lynda Gresham of Marietta. Friday evening they enjoyed the Rotary pancake supper and Saturday night were guests of Mark and Emilie Waters for pizza. lKip and Margie Burke were joined by sons, Philip and Charlie Burke, for dinner at Porterhouse Grill in Athens Thursday night to celebrate Charlie's 23rd birthday. lChris, Tara, Garston and Henry Townsend were in Atlanta Saturday for a family wedding and a visit with Ronnie and Sandy Townsend. l Boots and Shirley Gunter attended the Oconee Youth Playhouse matinee production of the musical "Big" at the Oconee County Civic Center in Watkinsville on Sunday. Granddaughter, Isabelle Hale, was a member of the cast. After the performance they enjoyed dinner at the Hale home and an early birthday celebration for Allison Hale. lEdward and Susan Pope enjoyed several days last week in Maryville, Tenn., with Craig and Jenny Thomas and daughter, Eliana. lGuests of Boots and Shirley Gunter Friday and Saturday were Alicia, Luke and Porter Brown of Thomson. They enjoyed the ArtFest in downtown Washington on Saturday with the boys having a wonderful time at Kids Art at The Livery. lLarry Tyler of Dunwoody visited last Sunday with his mother, Marjorie Tyler. lChris and Tara Townsend and sons, Garston and Henry, were in Covington Tuesday to attend the Teacher of the Year reception honoring his sister, Rhonda Mullinax, who is the
