Alyssa Stewart honored at Christmas shower and brunch
Alyssa Stewart, bride-elect of Jeffrey Roth, was honored at a Christmas bridal shower and brunch Saturday, November 8, at the home of Sherri McAvoy. Joining Mrs. McAvoy in entertaining were her daughters, Amy Thomas of Eatonton and Amanda Sanders of Lincolnton.
In honor of the occasion Miss Stewart was presented a single red rose with a Christmas bow and ribbon to complement her red button up silk shirt worn with a black skirt.
The McAvoy home was completely decorated for Christmas and Christmas music played in the background as all enjoyed the festive occasion.
A delicious brunch fare was served and included monkey bread, cheese spinach quiche, sausage breakfast casserole, grits with cheese and butter, spiced pecans, brown sugar bacon and a fruit tray with French cream. Coffee, tea and red Christmas punch were also enjoyed by guests.
The hostesses presented the brideelect a 6 ½ foot lighted Christmas tree.
Thirty-three guests were invited. Among the special guests attending were the bride-elect's mother, Gail Stewart;, grandmother, Kathryn Shedd; sister and niece, Hannah Wright and Ava, all of Rayle; aunt, Angie Williams of Lexington; and cousin, Cody Paul of Sandy Cross; the prospective bridegroom's mother, Sonya Roth; sisters, Bonnie and Betsy Roth; and grandmothers, Ann Palmer and Gladys Roth, of Washington.
