Funeral services for Diane Bailey, 39, of Washington, were held Friday, November 14, 2008, in the Tignall Baptist Church with Rev. Stephen Rayner and Rev. Dale Fincher officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery. She died Tuesday, November 11, at Doctors Hospital, Augusta.

Mrs. Bailey was a native of Wilkes County and the daughter of the late Ralph and Laraine Gunter. She was a nurse and a member of the Tignall Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Thomas Bailey of Washington; two daughters, Shelby Bailey and Olivia Bailey, Washington; her grandfather, Roland Corbett of Lincolnton; and a sister, Michelle Broome of Augusta.

Pallbearers included Tommy Corbett, Darryl Albea, Clint Albea, Ben Norman, Charles Heard, and Joe Heard.

Hopkins Funeral Home of Washington was in charge of arrangements.
