The annual Washington-Wilkes County Christmas parade needs floats and other entries for the parade, set for Sunday afternoon, December 14, at 3 p.m.

Organizers say the parade will line up at the Pope Conference Center on Lexington Avenue and will end at the Washington-Wilkes Elementary School on Robert Toombs Avenue.

The Parade committee is looking for entrants. Some suggestions are: Antique and midget cars, motor- cycles, golf carts and, of course, floats. "We would like to have participation from churches, civic groups, youth groups and sports as well as dance teams and clubs," said Blake Thompson.

The entrance fee is only $5.00 per group/organization and all of the proceeds will be given to the local Washington Shriners. For more information and to enter, contact either Ronnie Hoffman at 706-678-1210 or Blake Thompson at 706-319-2237.
