Christmas Tour weekend is packed with celebrations, events for holiday season

Enhance your Christmas Tour of Homes experience by enjoying many of the following holiday events on Saturday, December 13:

l The Robert Toombs House State Historic Site - "A Christmas Carol" by Charles Dickens from 10 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. (no charge to Christmas Tour patrons)

l The Washington-Wilkes Historical Museum - 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. (no charge to Christmas Tour patrons)

l Christmas at the Callaway Plantation - 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Saturday and also open on Sunday 2-5 p.m. (no charge to Christmas Tour patrons)

l The Retro Cinema - The movie Prancer (1989) starring Sam Elliott will be shown at noon (Christmas Tour patrons tickets are $5.00)

l Lunch at The Washington Woman's Club - 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Homemade soups, chili, and desserts to benefit the 2009 Relay for Life ($8.00 donation)

l Nativity Festivity! - The First United Methodist Church presents a festive display of Nativity scenes and offers tour visitors holiday refreshments ($5.00 donation).

The 2008 Christmas Tour of Homes is scheduled for Friday and Saturday, December 12-13. Three ticket packages are available for the Christmas Tour of Homes.

l Candlelight Tour: Friday Evening, 5-9 p.m. ($30.00)

l Town & Country Day Tour: Saturday Only 10 a.m.-5 p.m. ($30.00)

l Saturday Combination Ticket: Town & Country Day Tour, Twilight Champagne Reception, and Colonial Dinner ($65.00)

l Premier Ticket: All of the tour activities are included with this ticket ($85.00).

l Single House Tickets: ($5.00)
