Aging agency sets hearing, discussion on services offered

The CSRA Regional Development Center Area Agency on Aging (AAA) will be holding a public hearing on January 14 from 10:30 a.m.-noon at the Wilkes County Senior Center located at 109 Marshal Street in Washington.

The AAA is interested in receiving input from older adults, persons with disabilities, family and volunteer caregivers, agencies and advocacy groups serving these individuals, and other interested community members. AAA also will share information about the services available to seniors throughout the Central Savannah River Area.

The discussion topic for the event will be "Programs and Services for Older Adults: What is needed, what is missing, how can services be improved and where?"

Comments are limited to three minutes per person. A written copy of remarks is to be submitted as part of the official record. Those wishing to speak may register beginning at 10 a.m. Individuals will be called in the order they signed up.

Large group input discussion will be held from 11:30 a.m.-12 p.m.
