We had a wonderful time at Sardis Baptist Church Sunday morning. We enjoyed having several visitors among us. The church was decorated beautifully for Christmas. Rev. Newsome asked the children as they were having their message if they saw anything that looked different today. As they observed and answered with the Christmas tree, the wreaths, the poinsettias, the communion table which was set up for the Lord's Supper, and the Advent candles, one little boy piped up and said "The people look different." (Very interesting.) Mike and Tina Boatwright and Cody lighted the Advent candle of hope. The music was directed by Joyce Fry with Pam Hall as pianist. The children departed to the annex for children's church with Denise Armour and Jackson Armour. Rev.
