"Please join us for this fun and informative event to learn more about the prevention and early detection of breast cancer," said Summer Garrison, ACS representative. "There will be food, goodie bags, and door prizes provided."
The event is open to the public, Garrison said, but space is limited to 20 women. Contact Garrison at 1-866-227-0904 (toll free). Brunch is provided by the University Health Care System Breast Health Center
The University Breast Health Center offers a comprehensive array of well-coordinated breast health services, including education, diagnostic testing, treatment options, and support. The Breast Health Center can help those diagnosed with breast cancer through treatment and follow-up support. Providing care with dignity in a supportive environment is the first step to restoring health. The university also has a Mobile Mammography Unit that is equipped with state-ofthe art digital mammography in a comfortable setting. The mobile mammography unit travels to counties across the CSRA to make it easier for women to receive their mammograms without traveling a great distance.
