Robert Matthew Shedd, son of Mr. and Mrs. Rodney Shedd of Rayle, celebrated his ninth birthday November 18.

Matt cel- ebrated on his birthday with his third grade class at Washington Wilkes Primary School. He shared Rice Krispy Treats and juice boxes with his classmates during their snack time.

Matt was honored with a Georgia Bulldog Football spend-the-night party on Friday, November 21 when his friends gathered at his home for a campfire and to roast hot dogs. Due to the freezing cold weather, the children very quickly roasted their hot dogs over the campfire and then the festivities were moved inside where the adults roasted their hot dogs over the fire in the fireplace in the family room. Guests enjoyed hot dogs with chili and other trimmings before having Matt's Georgia Bulldog cake that was served with ice cream.

Joining Matt and his parents were his brothers, Mil and Morgan; Mr. and Mrs. John Mack, J. T. and Mary Kathryn, Mr. and Mrs. Kyle Bearse, Colton and Whitney, Walker Moore, Bailey Brock and Avery Hall.

The boys later settled down for the night and "camped" in the Shedd's playroom. They had breakfast of Krispy Kreme doughnuts, cheese grits, hot chocolate, milk and juice on Saturday morning and the party continued as the boys enjoyed playing outside.

Matt was honored with a family party on Sunday, November 23. His guests gathered for lunch at the Shedd home and enjoyed homemade vegetable beef soup with cornbread and sandwiches. Everyone was served Matt's Georgia Bulldog cake and ice cream.

Celebrating this occasion with Matt, his parents and brothers, Mil and Morgan, were grandparents, Rev. and Mrs. W. C. Bentley and Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Shedd; Mr. and Mrs. Chip Bentley, Danielle and Aubrey, Mr. and Mrs. John Mack, J. T. and Mary Kathryn, Mr. and Mrs. Tim Stewart, Mrs. Chad Williams, Ashtyn Allen, Lyn Shedd, Mrs. Paul Wright and Ava, and Matt's greataunt, Dolly Harper and friend, Mary Mauney of Douglasville.
