'Going on the wall'

George Stone Jr., who's only 6, shot his first deer Thanksgiving Day, and it was a respectable 8-point buck with a 16-inch inside spread on his rack. He was shooting a Ruger No. 1 in .204 caliber, with no help from Dad, George Jr. said. "As we sat in the ground blind, he coached me through it." Dad said that he and Lil G went out the next day and the six-year-old shot a 3-point buck that day. Stone said special thanks were due to landowner O.A. Denard, who made the hunt possible.
