Thirty students were inducted as new members of the Washington-Wilkes Junior Beta Club last week at the school. The National Junior Beta Club was founded in 1961 for academically outstanding students in grades five through nine. The club is a non-profit leadership-service club whose purpose is to encourage effort and reward merit, and to promote those qualities of character that make for good citizenship. |
