Jasper Johnson
Funeral services for Jasper Johnson, 63, of Metasville were held Friday, December 12, 2008, at Beulah Baptist Church with Rev. Terry Blackmon officiating. Interment was in the Washington Chapel Cemetery. He died Wednesday, December 10, in the University Hospital, Augusta.
Mr. Johnson was a native of Wilkes County and was the son of the late Hal and Ethel Davis Johnson. He was a barber by trade and was a member of Loco Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, William Johnson and his wife Kathy, Tignall, and Randall Johnson, Metasville; a daughter, Debra Jordan, Tignall; a sister, Brenda Johnson, Washington; three brothers, Ronnie Johnson and Allen Johnson, Lincolnton, and James Johnson, Washington; and four grandchildren.
Pallbearers included Lewis Hall, Curtis Hall, Danny Matthews, Charles Mayes, Jason Bailey, and James Stone. Honorary pallbearers included Bill Mobley, Ed Rhodes, Danny Byrd, Ray Wilson and Bobby Rachels.
