Frances Wheelis WOM group meets for caroling, soup dinner
The Frances Wheelis Women on Mission of the First Baptist Church continued a tradition began more than 30 years before when they gathered in the Mary Burton Fellowship Hall for their annual Christmas caroling and soup dinner Monday, December 8.
The group enjoyed visiting and singing to several shut-ins before going to Washington Manor.
They returned to the fellowship hall for piping hot pots of assorted soups and jalapeno cornbread prepared by Julia and Dennis Palmer. Sandwiches and desserts brought by members finished the dinner menu.
