Steve and Eleanor Blackmon and Irvin and Carol Cheney were in Athens Thursday evening to attend the Chamber Singers English Wassail Concert Dinner at the Georgian Hotel. Others from the area attending included Peggy Barnett, Evelyn and Bill Bennett, Martha Coulter and her brother, Bill Coulter of Athens, Mary Lou Dyer, Lou and Barbara Ricuitti, Carolyn Reynolds, Liz Reynolds and Jim and Jane Burton. The presentation was directed by Dr. Kevin Kelly, Mrs. Barnett's nephew. lSamuel and Mary Frances McGill of Aiken, S.C., and Mary Frances' friend, Tessa, of Augusta were weekend guests of Sam and Flora Ann McGill. lJimmy and Elaine Wheatley joined family and friends in attending the wedding of Stephanie Maureen Heinbuch and James Sprott Lamon and reception in Simpsonville, S.C., Saturday, December 6, at the Ryan Nicholas Inn. lLinda Martin of Colbert spent the weekend with her mother, Lila Edwards.
