Andrews to be featured speaker at Booker Scholarship Program

PAULA ANDREWS PAULA ANDREWS The Reese J. Booker Scholarship Committee is having its annual Scholarship Program at the Marks Tabernacle Baptist Church at 6 p.m. on December 28. Minister Paula Andrews is scheduled to be the guest preacher.

Andrews is a native of Wilkes County. She has been a member of Unity of Faith Christian Ministries in Stone Mountain, led by Pastor Jake Given, for over 20 years. She also serves in the leadership for the Capacity of Prayer Coordination. She has an associate's degree in Ministry from International Institute and is currently working toward getting her bachelor's degree. She is the daughter of Judy Heard.

Invited churches and choirs include Cherry Grove, Flint Hill and Male Chorus, Trinity, Gibson Grove, Marks Tabernacle, New Springhill and Male Chorus, New Salem, New Sutton's Temple, Jackson Chapel, Heard's Chapel, Booker's Chapel, Clifford Grove, White Rock, Springfield, Shady Grove, New Saints, New Tabernacle, Hilliard Station, Pleasant Grove, Reeve's Chapel, Black Rock, Young Chapel, Mulberry Twin Oak, Bethlehem, New Ford, Lyonsville, Pole Branch, Mt. Olive, Pompey Chapel, Mt. Nebo, Mt. Carmel, Pathway, New Beginning, Rayle Outreach Ministries, Crawfordville Holiness Church, Washington's Seventh Day Adventist, Church of the Lord Jesus, Pauline Chapel, Faith Christian Center, Zoar, Church of Christ, True Light, Christ City of Prayer, Move of God, Mountain Top Ministries, and others.

The purpose of the program is to help college students.
