New school complex rising after six months a-building
Just six months ago in July 2007, the 100-acre school site was just a hayfield. Now, after some $6.5 million has been spent, the new high school and middle school complex is rising on schedule. School Superintendent Joyce Williams said, after her inspection Tuesday, that the two middle school buildings at right are being dried in now, and plumbing and electric work is in progress. Recent rains, although much needed, have slowed outside construction, but the complex is expected to be largely complete by next January, with move-in during the summer of 2009.
