Martha P. Gilpin Murphy

Graveside services for Martha P. Gilpin Murphy, 88, were held Thursday, December 6, 2007, in the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery in Wilkes County. She died Tuesday, December 4, in the Warrenton Health & Rehabilitation Center, Warrenton.

Mrs. Murphy was a native of Wilkes County and was the widow of George Murphy. She had lived in Warrenton for several years, was a homemaker and a member of the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her daughter, Leverne Hogan, Washington; a sister, Winnie Harbin, Thomson; two grandsons, James T. Hogan, Augusta, and Frankey Hogan, Washington; and four great-grandchildren.

Curtis Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
