Washington Personal Mention Mrs. Margaret Conner enjoyed several days during the Christmas holidays with her son and family, Mr. and Mrs. Greg Connor, Adam, Jenny and West, in Alpharetta. Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Warren celebrated Christmas Day in Elberton with Mr. and Mrs. Phil McLanahan and daughter, Emily. Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Warren Jr., Katherine and Claire, of Avondale visited the day after Christmas with Mr. and Mrs. Warren. Celebrating Christmas with Dr. and Mrs. Carlton Hearn were Mr. and Mrs. Carlton Hearn Jr. and Waller of Augusta; and Mr. and Mrs. Gil Hearn, Allie, Elise and Carlisle of Atlanta who remained in Washington for several days for a holiday visit. Lyn Randall and Bill Cannon of Tybee Island visited during Christmas week with Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Randall Jr. Joining the family Christmas Day were Joe Randall, Jake and Griffin, of Atlanta, Mr. and Mrs. Randy Randall, Taylor and Kelley, and Patrick Castaneda of Clinton, S.C. Mr. and Mrs. Larry Tyler of Dunwoody and Natalie Tyler of Charleston, S. C., celebrated Christmas with Mrs. James Tyler and brought a delicious Christmas dinner and goodies. Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Duncan of Travelers Rest, S.C., celebrated Christmas with Mr. and Mrs. Ed Pope III and Wesley. Wesley returned home with his grandparents for a holiday visit. Mrs. Emmett Edwards enjoyed the Christmas holidays in Colbert with Mr. and Mrs. Mike Martin. Mrs. Lewis McCall celebrated Christmas week with Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Florence and Hannah in Madison. Joining the family Christmas Eve and Day were Jeremy Florence of Atlanta and Daniel Florence of Lilburn. Holiday guests of Mark and Emilie Waters were Angela Abadie, Kayla and Megan, of Wilmington, N.C., and Mark and Julie Laudicina, Wyatt and Savannah, of Hanover, Pa. All enjoyed Christmas dinner with other family members at the home of Mabel Johnson. Celebrating Christmas with James and June Baston were Greg and MeLisa Clay, Ashley and Abby, of Macon; and Jim and Heather Baston and Addison. Mr. and Mrs. Grady Rogers celebrated Christmas with Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Cooper and Alex in Covington; and Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Rogers, Meg and Heath, of Carrollton. Mr. and Mrs. Ira Tiller enjoyed Saturday and Sunday before Christmas in Acworth with Mr. and Mrs. Quincy Tiller and Abby. Sunday evening they traveled to Warner Robins for an overnight holiday visit with Mr. and Mrs. Keith Tiller. Mrs. Ira Tiller of Charleston, S.C., arrived Monday for several days visit with her son and daughter-in-law. Mrs. John Dyer celebrated Christmas Eve and Day in Athens with Mr. and Mrs. Tom Dyer and Elizabeth and was a guest at the annual Dyer Christmas Eve dinner. Christmas afternoon Mrs. Dyer joined other guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Davidson for dinner. Christmas guests of Mr. and Mrs. Harris Blackmon were Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Hisaw of Martinez and Mr. and Mrs. Bubba Blackmon and Trey. Celebrating Christmas with Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Palmer were Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Palmer, Rylee and Baylee, of Americus; Mrs. Beth Ray of Sharon; Carol Palmer, Jessica and James Ward of Harlem; and Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Hornung and Heather; and Brooke Shivers of Evans. Visiting during the holidays with their parents, Pete and Suzette Kopecky, were daughters, Jeanne- Marie Kopecky of Gooding, Idaho; and Carol Redus of Raleigh, N.C. Dr. and Mrs. Dan Duggan and John of Augusta and Daniel Duggan of Georgia Tech in Atlanta and friend, Haley Carney of Peachtree City, also a Georgia Tech student, celebrated Christmas December 26 with Mrs. Dan Duggan. Other guests were Mr. and Mrs. Tom Duggan, Katie, Elizabeth and Thomas. Visiting during the holidays with Mrs. Wood Hardy were Mr. and Mrs. Mike Hardy, Mr. and Mrs. Chris Hardy and Emily, Mrs. Dianne Bentley and Alton Danner of Lincolnton, and Mr. and Mrs. Sam Bentley and Jordan and Harlem. Also visiting during the holidays were Mr. and Mrs. Scott Sharp and family of Hickory, N.C. Guests during the holidays of Mrs. Dennis Hopkins were Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Hopkins Jr. of Acworth and daughter, Mrs. Marco Alanis of Fort Worth, Tex., Mrs. Bob Sauls of Marietta, Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Hopkins and Jason of Hilton Head, S.C. Mr. and Mrs. Sparky Newsome and children, Lizzie and Molly, of Athens and Daniel of Clemson, S.C., also Justin Holmes of Athens enjoyed an early Christmas celebration in Doraville with Mrs. Newsome's mother, Mrs. Frank Maloney, and family. Mrs. Maloney arrived in Washington on Christmas Eve for a holiday visit with the Newsomes. Mr. and Mrs. Lincoln Bounds, Bonnie and John, Mrs. J. T. Russell Jr. and Cindy Futch gathered with Mr. and Mrs. Milton Futch of Statesboro and Mrs. Nancy Collier of LaGrange for a Christmas Day dinner at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Gene Futch, Ethan and Lauren, in Martinez. Christmas Eve guests of Joe and Dot Harris were Boon Thiam Ng and sons of Malaysia and George Harris and Jacob of Packwaukee, Wisc. After Christmas the Harris' guests included Brad and Jennifer Marwitz, Shannon and Leah, of Richmond, Va. Visiting during the holidays with Mrs. John Singleton were Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Phillips, Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Culpepper of Harlem and John Singleton III of Atlanta. Jim Burton celebrated Christmas in Cleveland, Tenn., with Jim and Niki Burton, Callaway and Cole. Holiday guests of Dr. and Mrs. W. C. Branan were Mr. and Mrs. Brad Sheffieldand Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Cobb of Athens; Mr. and Mrs. Doug Branan, Kyle and Kevin, of Douglasville; and Mr. and Mrs. Dan Branan, Seth, Trinity and Beverly, of Kennesaw. Mr. and Mrs. Doug Branan and Kyle returned for a New Year holiday visit. Celebrating Christmas with Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Bowman were Mr. and Mrs. Burke Johnson, Walker and William, of Danielsville; and Mr. and Mrs. Ben Gold and Elias of Greenville, S.C. Mrs. E.E. Pasco celebrated Christmas in Marietta with her son, Doug Pasco. Mr. and Mrs. Brent Marable and Jack Durham of Watkinsville, Molly Burgess of Athens, and Mr. and Mrs. Joel Walker and Scout of Dallas, Tex., were Christmas holiday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Burgess. Helen Dixton of Atlanta joined Betty Slaton and Marion Slaton of Washington and Atlanta for a Christmas visit. Rod and Pam Eaton enjoyed Christmas celebration in Guyton with Ulysses and Linda Eaton and children, Arcadian and Artemis Willow. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Bishop enjoyed an early Christmas celebration with Mr. and Mrs. Neil Bishop and Landon in Adairsville. Other guests were Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Collum, Keifer and Neely, of Rockmart. The Bishops were overnight guests in Adairsville and on Sunday joined the Collums for worship services in Rockmart before returning home. Grandchildren Landon and Neely visited several days in Washington with their grandparents. Dr. and Mrs. Bob Jones and Lauren Harbin of Macon; and Mr. and Mrs. Andy Raye, Anna, Ashley, Andrew and Kathryn, of Duluth enjoyed the holidays with Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Jones. Mrs. Edward Pope celebrated Christmas in Alpharetta with her son and family, John Cook, J.C., Natalie and Amelia. Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Hopkins of Acworth visited during the holidays with her mother, Mrs. Martha Drinkard. Jonathan Winn of Winterville visited during the weekend with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Hollis Winn. Holiday guests of Mr. and Mrs. John Webster were his sons and grandson, John Webster of Pittsburg, Pa., and Robert Webster and Chris of Crocker, Mo. Mrs. Robert Wallace and Mr. and Mrs. Billy Wallace of Washington joined Mr. and Mrs. Theron Wallace of Conyers and Mr. and Mrs. Scott Williamson of Appling for Christmas dinner in Lawrenceville at the home of Ginny Wallace and Dylan. Mrs. Bill Niemann celebrated Christmas in Thomson with Mr. and Mrs. Mickey Young, Levi and Lily. Granddaughters, Mandy and Melanie Niemann, of Powder Springs arrived Wednesday for several days visit with their grandmother, Mrs. Niemann. Mrs. Carl Adams enjoyed an early holiday visit with Mr. and Mrs. Dan Adams in Peachtree City. Other guests were Dr. and Mrs. Bill Welsh of Augusta. On Sunday after Christmas Mrs. Adams' guests were her daughter, Mrs. Jim Hyatt of Mills River, N.C., and Mr. and Mrs. Dan Adams. Mr. and Mrs. Craig Thomas of Maryville, Tenn., arrived Friday before Christmas for a visit with Mr. and Mrs. Edward Pope Jr. and were joined by Mr. and Mrs. John Gentry Jr., Anna and Caroline, of Athens and Mr. and Mrs. Ed Pope III and Wesley for a Christmas celebration on Sunday. On Christmas Day the Popes visited grandchildren, Wesley, and Anna and Caroline, and their families. Mr. and Mrs. Sparky Newsome, Daniel Newsome, Molly Newsome, and Mr. and Mrs. Smythe Newsome attended the wedding of Kelley Randall and Patrick Castaneda at the First Presbyterian Church in Clinton, S.C., Saturday. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
