Shanteka Michelle Lowe to wed Tavares Hampton on April 26

Shanteka Michelle Lowe Tavares Hampton

Barbara Burley Lowe of Washington announces the engagement of her daughter, Shanteka Michelle, to Tavares Hampton, also of Washington, son of Betty Hampton and Clarence Dunn of Rayle.

The bride-elect is also the daughter of the late Charlie Lowe of Washington. She is the granddaughter of Henery Burley and the late Daisy Burley of Norwood and the late Tobe and Claudie Mae Lowe.

Miss Lowe is a graduate of Greene-Taliaferro Comprehensive High School in Greensboro and is employed as an assistant manager at Zaxby's in Washington.

Mr. Hampton is the grandson of Anna F. Brown and the late Willie Harden of Rayle.

He is a graduate of Washington- Wilkes Comprehensive High School and is employed at McClane Southeast in Athens.

The wedding is planned for Saturday, April 26, at 5 p.m. at Springfield Baptist Church in Washington.
