Whitney James entertained at ornament shower Dec. 9

Whitney James, bride-elect of Jacob Richards of Lincolnton, was entertained at an ornament shower on Sunday afternoon, December 9, at the home of Tim and Laura Purdy on Upton Mill Drive. Hostesses for the occasion were Crystal Purdy and Karla Dawson.

For the occasion Miss James chose a red sweater and black pants. She was presented an angel ornament corsage.

The house was beautifully decorated for the holiday season with the decorated tree, seasonal greenery and candles.

The table, covered in red and overlaid in green, featured a table arrangement of red candles, smilax and other greenery and berries. From the table guests enjoyed Christmas punch with an assortment of party foods.

The hostesses presented Miss James a Christmas wreath and assorted ornaments.

Attending were the bride-elect's mother, Patti James, and sister, Hailey James; also Amanda Stroika, Samantha Callaway, Lauren Bridges, Lauren McAvoy, Katie Hardy, Ashley Miller, Jennifer Rogers and Laura Purdy, all of Washington.
