Family tradition...
Candler Martin, 13, grand-nephew of Amos and Rosa Martin, bagged his first buck just after Christmas in Elbert County. His proud father, Scott Martin, said, "Another Martin hunter does good! Candler, the great nephew of the legendary Amos Martin, killed his first deer, a 9-point buck, on December 29, 2007." Amos says Candler got a new rifle,a 7mm-.08 Ruger, for Christmas, and once Amos got it sighted in, Candler dropped the buck at over 100 yards.
