North Wilkes Library now to be open daily from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m.

It's time to start reading! The North Wilkes Library is open this week.

Thanks to Sherri Bowers, the library will be open every day from 2:30 until 5:30. Monday through Saturday. Carolyn Gammon will be doing the story time for children on Wednesday afternoons. We're not sure about the time yet.

Sherri reported that there have been some good donations already and she encourages all of you who have books to make donations. Carolyn is donating some of hers since she has no more room for any new books in her home.

In The Augusta Chronicle it was reported that in a recent poll it was found that one in four adults in the United States read no books in the past year. That is sad. Let's start off the New Year reading. At least read this newspaper so that you will know what's going on in our county.
