Tignall Council reappoints all, hears engineering, water reports The regular meeting of the Tignall City Council was held at 7 p.m. on January 9. Those attending were Mayor Richard Gammon, Council members Nobie Keener, Leon Aycock, Albert Huyck, Charles Bradley, and Tom Jackson; City Clerk Elaine Jackson; Clyde Davis, water department; and Chris Quigley, engineer. City Attorney Michael Horgan swore in the mayor and council for their new terms. It was decided to keep all city employees, city at- torney, CPA, mayor pro-tem, and Farmers & Merchants Bank. Quigley presented his engineering report in which he explained the process of obtaining a grant for the water system. He outlined all the improvements that needed to be done. It was decided to proceed with the first steps to obtain the grant.
Davis presented his yearly pumping chart. The city should know soon if we have met our 10 percent reduction goal. The council is asking that everyone still conserve water.
