Bamford celebrates 95th birthday with family and freinds

Happy birthday to Dr. Sophia Bamford who was 95 years young Monday, January 7.

She is still a very perky lady who likes to keep up with everything in her town of Tignall. Her daughter, Sara Pelot of Washington, D.C., has been visiting with her all during the Christmas holidays and stayed to celebrate her mother's 95th birthday.

Also visiting Saturday through Tuesday of last week was Sophia's niece, Marjorie Larkin of High Point, N.C. They all went to Clifford's for lunch Sunday. On Monday, the day of her birthday, there was a breakfast celebration at the Kum Bak Cafe where their regular breakfast club was joined by Sophia's daughter, niece, and Rich and Gail Seibert, Marilyn Summerlin and Ben and Jackie Long.

On Monday, Gail and Ted Bush hosted a birthday supper for Sophia at their home in Washington.
