Cope wins logo design contest

Lori Cope, art teacher at Lincoln County High School and former graphic artist for this newspaper, was named the winner of the Augusta Colts' logo design contest during a press conference held at Famous Dave's Barbecue in Augusta on Thursday, January 3. Cope's logo, in its various alternate forms and colors, is now the officialmarketing brand for the Augusta Colts Professional Indoor Football Club and will be seen by American Indoor Football Association fans throughout the nation. As the contest winner, Cope received season tickets to the Colts' games as well as other prizes.
