DON explains nursing program
Jane Echols, Director of Nursing at Wills Memorial Hospital, was the guest speaker at the Washington Kiwanis Club on Tuesday, January 22. Director of Nursing for two years, Echols gave members a comprehensive overview of the WMH nursing program. She reviewed the hospital's nursing capabilities, discussed personal, and hospital goals relating to the nursing program. Echols said that the strategic plan for the hospital was to decrease patient care costs, increase revenue, and at the same time increase overall quality of care for patients. Echols directs the activities of 45 full-time and 15 part-time employees in the nursing program - including providing 24/7 emergency staffing.Bill Smith (right) was the program host for the day.
