We will have a covered dish meal at Clifford's Grove Baptist Church Sunday, January 27. We didn't have a fifth Sunday meal in December, so members, come on down and bring your friends. .It has been so cold I think most people stayed home and didn't go very much over the weekend. I'm sure the children enjoyed the snow Wednesday evening. I missed seeing it come down. When I looked outside, the ground was white but it had started sleeting, then it rained. We are so thankful for all the rain we got. .It was so cold Monday morning I know the school children were happy that it was a holiday. .Mr. and Mrs. Willard Lance went to Tifton to spend the weekend with her mother, Mrs. Ruby Johnson. Laura and Charles Foxworth, who recently moved from Morganton, N.C., to Perry, Ga., joined them on Saturday and other members of Sue's family came to celebrate the 89th birthday of their mother on Sunday. .Madison Kay of Raytown spent Wednesday afternoon with Mrs. Ricky McCarty. On Sunday afternoon, Pam and Ricky attended the third birthday party for Madison at her home in Raytown. .Mrs. Ricky McCarty visited Mrs. Cheryle Holsclaw Friday afternoon. .Some people want the front of the bus, the back of the church, and the center of attention.
