Registration for spring soccer at W-WPRD to begin

Registration for the Washington- Wilkes Parks and Recreation Department Spring Soccer program will begin January 28, with a final deadline for February 29. No late sign-ups will be accepted.

The registration fee is $35.00. Games will be held on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and/or Saturdays. Proof of health insurance must be provided at registration. Accident insurance is available from the Parks and Recreation Department for $6.00 per child.

There will be fiveage groups: 5-6 years old; 7-8 years old; 9-11 years old; 12-14 years old; and 15-17 years old. Children must be five years old before April 1, 2008, to participate.

Practice will begin the week of March 3. A practice and game schedule will be provided after team selections are made.

There will be a meeting for parents and coaches on Sunday, February 10, at 7 p.m., at the Parks and Recreation Department on Lexington Avenue.
