Laney Thornton celebrates seventh birthday Jan. 12

Laney Thornton, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mark Thornton, was seven years old on January 12 and celebrated on several occasions.

Laney and friend, Kelsie Scot t , whos e bi r thday wa s January 15, celebr ated their bir thdays tog ether with their classmates at Washington-Wilkes Primary School, enjoying cupcakes, chips and drinks.

On her birthday Laney, her parents and brother, Jackson; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Gene Thornton and Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Wilson; also, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Echols, Dylan and Taylor, enjoyed a special dinner at Inoko's Japanese Restaurant in Athens.

Laney was treated to a "High School Musical" sleepover party at her home February 1.

Guests enjoyed movies, music, games, telling ghost stories and decorating flipflops for each girl to take home.

Her "High School Musical" cake was enjoyed with ice cream sundaes made by her guests, pizza, chips, dip and drinks.

Celebrating with Laney, her parents and her brother were Taylor Echols, Kelsie Scott, Samantha Wheatley, Alyssa Holly, Maura Jackson, Taylor Guin, Brittney Byrd, and Cassie Burton who assisted with the party.
