Cornelia Johnson Circle members meet at Barry home February 5 The Cornelia Johnson Circle of the First United Methodist Church met in the home of Randee Barry on Tuesday, February 5. Laura Toburen welcomed everyone and led the opening prayer. Mrs. Barry continued with the devotional, "My Circle of Friends." During the business meeting Mrs. Toburen reported that Baby Recognition Sunday will be February 10. Judy Thompson will be making the presentations assisted by Susan Hargrove. Members voted to have a mission lunch on Sunday, March 16, following the morning worship services with proceeds being designated for missions. Organization of a Relay for Life Team was also discussed with plans to be finalized at the next meeting. The Circle will look into the possibility of providing a service project at the annual conference in Athens in June. Gale Seibert informed the group that she would try to get a representative from the conference to attend the next circle meeting to tell of plans and ways the circle and church may assist. Everyone was reminded of the Ash Wednesday service on Wednesday, February 6, at 7 p.m. Alice Lindsey presented the program with ideas on evangelism from the book "Irresistible Evange- lism".
