Washington Personal Mention
      Mary Duggan joined Joanna Rainey of Highlands, N.C., Sunday in attending the Episcopal Church of the Mediator. Peggy Barnett had dinner with them at the Fitzpatrick Hotel after the worship service. l Tiffany Oliver of LaGrange visited Saturday and Sunday with her grandmother, Mrs. Frank Story.

Forestry Pageant set for February 23 seeks contestants
      Wilkes County girls and girls from area counties are invited to participate in the Miss Forestry Pageant to be held February 23 in Danielsville. Application deadline is February 11. Girls ages 2-24 are eligible to enter the pageant.

Wilkes Bane Barnett
      Ash and Lindsey Barnett of Washington announce the birth of their son, Wilkes Bane, on Monday, February 18, at Trinity Hospital in Augusta. Bane weighed 8 lbs. 5 ozs., and was 21 ½ inches long. He has a sister, Savanna, who is 11 years old, and an eighteen-month-old brother, Brax.
