A good oldtime gospel singing will be held at Pentecost Chapel on Saturday evening, February 23, at 6 p.m. Local singers will be there for your entertainment. These singers are very talented and you will not want to miss it. Refreshments will be served after the singing. .The Lunch and Learn Club will meet Wednesday, February 27, at 10 a.m. at City Hall. Any interested lady is invited to attend. .Sam Lovvorn was honored on February 7 for his 91st birthday along with his wife Belle with a steak dinner and cake and ice cream at Poss Umm Cafe, given by his daughter and son-in-law, Sheila and Kenneth Poss. .Roy Bowen celebrated his 16th birthday on January 21 with a dinner, ice cream and cake. His p[arents, T.J. and Karen, his brother Trey, and sister Sara helped him celebrate. .Trey Bowen celebrated his eighth birthday on February 5 with his family, T.J. and Karen, Roy and Sara. Trey was honored with a dinner with ice cream and cake. .Demetrice Porter and Brooke Berry enjoyed a Valentine dinner Friday evening at Logan's Roadhouse Restaurant in Athens. .Debra Sherrer and Whitney Sherrer visited Billy and Doris Walker Sunday afternoon. .Lyn and Debra Armour, Mitch and Casey, John and Jennifer Armour and Mason, Barry and Beth Armour, Brittany, Bettina and Dylan, Greg and Angela Armour, Cody and Hunter, Will and Samantha Callaway, Tracy and Denise Armour, Ethan and Jackson, enjoyed Sunday dinner with Jack and Ruby Armour. .Sunday dinner guests of Peggy Echols and Johnny Adams were Sybil Hayes, Tim and Allison Hayes, and Harley Grace of Stephens; Clay and Vickie Stevens, Zack and Kayla of Lexington. Sybil Hayes was celebrating her birthday. .Rev. Donnie Berry was surprised with a dinner Sunday at his church, Mallorysville Baptist, in Tignall, honoring him for his birthday which was Monday, February 18. His mother, Betty Berry, attended church there and helped him celebrate. .Angie Paul, Chad Williams, and Ashtyn Allen had Sunday dinner with Johnny and Kathryn Shedd. Visiting in the afternoon were Tim and Gail Stewart and Alyssa, Ricky Shedd and Garrett Paul. .Sissy Smith, J.T. and Abby, and Richard and Lou Heard, Mattie and Hank, spent Sunday with Buck and Linda Echols. .Kyle Frankel spent Thursday and Friday nights with Clyde and Sandy Whittington. Friday night, Zachery Frankel also spent the night, and Saturday, Avery Hall came to visit his little friends. .Frances Fendley spent Sunday afternoon with George and Mozelle Casey. .Ann Wideman visited Gene and Betty Winfrey one day. George and Ann went to the health fair in Lincolnton Saturday and later visited Perry and Mary Davis, George and Allene Moon, and Leeman Stewart. Watson Wideman visited his grandparents, George and Ann, Saturday morning and Sunday afternoon. .Bonnie Boatwright went over to Bogart to spend the day with her sister, Martha Jones, Tuesday. They met their other sister, Frankie Jones of Athens, for lunch at Chile's.
