Harper's Personal Care residents enjoy visiting with family, friends

It is lovely. .Melvin Cawley had supper with Sarah Parton and Mr. and Mrs. Warren Fox. .Faye Bufford went on an outing. .Mrs. Lois Flynt went to the beauty shop. .Hugh Huyckes and Genelle Cliatt provided musical entertainment for the residents who enjoyed the entertainment very much. .Gail Woods visited Mrs. Nancy Gunby. .Joan G. Moon visited the residents. .Members of the Church of God In Christ presented sharing, singing, prayer, and worship for the residents. .Doris Rhodes visited Mrs. Lois Flynt. .Darinda Holliday went on an outing. .Beverly Johnson and Charlene Rigdon visited Mrs. Lois Flynt and Miss Carrie Norman. .Bettye Duke, Oliver Gill, and Patsy Winn visited Mrs. Genelle Gill. .Bettye Duke visited Mrs. Pete Strother. .Bobby Blakey visited Mrs. Lois Flynt. .Albert and Eudora Huyck presented piano music, singing, and devotional for the residents. .Members of the 4-H Club came and played bingo with the residents and gave out prizes. They also gave out Valentine gifts to all the residents. Thank you so much, 4-H Club. We love you. .Sandra Massey visited Louise Bagwell. .Sandra Pope and Charlotte Simmons visited Mrs. Pete Strother. Inez, Madison and Gene also visited. .Aliha Cuzine and Lillie Crawford visited residents and gave manicures. .Margaret Anthony and Mary Ann Tutt visited Mrs. Nancy Gunby. .Sharon Williamson visited her mother, Mrs. Bessie Skipper, and played hymns for the residents to sing. .Madge Bailey visited her mother, Mrs. Eva Reed. .Lila Edwards visited Mrs. Genelle Gill. .Harper's Personal Care Home would like to welcome Mrs. Marie Gleaton, our newest resident here. We hope she will love this home like her own home and all the employees and residents too. .Ann and Barry Rogers took Jake Maddox out to lunch. .Mrs. Pete Strother spent the night with Sandra and Pembroke Pope. . Mrs. Nancy Gunby attended services at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. and Mrs. Sam Bufford and Madison of Thomson; and Mr. and Mrs. Keith Ware, Nicole, Kala and Nick. .Dale and Kathy Robertson of Winder visited Vivian and Louie Wolozin and Nonie and John Yochim Saturday. .Spending the weekend with Alex and Kay Tyler was their granddaughter, Sydney Tyler of Hoschton. The Tylers were very glad to hear that their grandson, Jordan Tyler, a Jackson County 4-H Club member, won first place on his District Project Achievement (DPA) at Rock Eagle 4-H Center last weekend. The other grandson, Caleb Tyler, played in the playoffs with his basketball team in Jackson County. These are children of Mr. and Mrs. Greg Tyler of Hoschton. .Almond Standard visited Johnny Painter in Waynesville, N.C., for a few days last week. .Rick and Laura Standard of Hull came Sunday night and visited through Monday with Almond Standard. Laura is a teacher so she had a holiday Monday. .Visiting with Donald and Peggy Ware and with Mary Ann Williams last Friday and Saturday were Betty Nix of Clarkesville and Johnny Smallwood of Alto. .Vince Keener of Snellville spent the weekend with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Keener. .Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Maney enjoyed the Little Olympics in Charlotte, N.C., where their grandson, Gregory Maney, a junior college student in Ohio, competed in fencing. Their grandson and his family, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Maney and Alex of Ohio, met Wilbur and Ouida and they enjoyed being together from Thursday through Saturday. .Someone must have thought the North Wilkes Library was a drivein library last week when the car drove up onto the sidewalk, crashed into the flower pot, and hit the brick wall beside the front door. It's good that the library was not open at the time. Speaking of the library, Gloria Ware made some book donations last week. Don't forget to bring your children or grandchildren for story time on Saturdays at 2:30. Also this is a wonderful opportunity for them to visit the museum upstairs. .Our deepest sympathy goes out to the family of Mrs. Alma Arrington. Her daughter, Nancy Hilley, and her husband, David, have lived next door to her mom all these years, so I'm sure they will miss her. Her grandsons, Stacy Hilley and his family of Commerce, and David Hilley Jr. and his family of Ocala, Fla., were here for the funeral which was Monday afternoon. .We also extend sympathy to the family of Mrs. Bessie Lamb of Harlem. Pat) Grimaud, and granddaughter, Mrs. Tim (Mandy) Jackson. .Also sympathy is extended to Perry Adams whose wife, Virginia Adams, passed away last Friday. Virginia was originally from Elberton. .Let's keep Mrs. Tilly Bufford in our prayers. She had surgery last Saturday night.
