We had a Gideon speaker at Ebenezer Baptist Church Sunday. He brought the message and explained what the Gideons are about. His name was Mr. Cass and his wife Mary from Danielsville. A love offering was taken to help support the Gideons. . The flowers were placed in Ebenezer Baptist Church Sunday by Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Roberson in honor of Kaley Roberson's 13th birthday which is February 20. They were roses and very pretty. .I went to Augusta last Wednesday to see my doctor and afterwards visited Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Dragon and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Sleister. Richard has been sick and is still not feeling well. The Gideon speaker for Mt. Zion United Methodist Church Sunday was Wallace Edwards of Elberton. .Cassie Goldman and Bryson spent Wednesday night with her mother, Deanne Johnson, in Hull. .Rev. and Mrs. Jim Newsome and Mrs. Jenelle Newsome visited Mr. and Mrs. Jamie Newsome and Anna in Martinez Saturday. They went especially to help Jamie celebrate his 37th birthday. .Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie Scroggs of Jefferson spent the weekend at their home in Aonia and attended Ebenezer Baptist Church Sunday.

.Peyton Standard of Lexington, S.C., spent from Friday till Monday with his grandparents, Linda and Keith Standard. .Russell Goldman of Doraville spent Sunday with his mother, Sarah Huff. Russ and Sarah had dinner with Linda and Keith and Peyton Standard Sunday. Bobby Ansley Jr. visited during the weekend and Daniel Standard visited one day last week. .Sarah Huff, Linda Standard, and Peyton attended the Relay for Life supper at Bethel United Methodist Church Saturday night. .Linda Standard and Sarah Huff attended a baby shower for Mandy Paradise at Loco Baptist Church in Lincoln County Saturday afternoon. .Lona and Roy Chesnut and Hunter Safrit joined Mr. and Mrs. Matthew Ryll, Connor and Calley for a camping trip to Dillard the past weekend. .We were glad to hear that Bobby Myers is improving and we hope he will be home real soon. Keep him and Sara Nell in your prayers. .Alex Dunaway visited Sara Nell Myers, Linda Standard, Sarah Huff, Billy Dunnaway, and Mrs. Louise Burt the past week. .Rebecca Phillips of Conyers is spending this week at home with her father, Richard Phillips, and Brenda. .Skyla Haynes has been ill and Brenda and Richard kept her Wednesday and Thursday. She is better this week. .G.B. and I attended the Valentine banquet at Ebenezer Saturday evening. The meal was delicious and we really had a nice time. .Happy birthday to my mother, Blanche Wallace, who will celebrate February 20. She will be 86 years old. Kaley Roberson also celebrates one on the 20th -- her 13th. Victor Linares and Lois Poss have one on the 17th, so a belated one to them. Claude Ingram celebrates a birthday on the 19th. .Our prayer concerns include Shirley Roberson, Linda Hopkins, Sid Hopkins, April Johnson, Bobby and Sara Nell Myers, Polly Lewis Copsy, Linda Stevens, Hazel Combs, Martha Drinkard, Joe, Chris, and Thomas Charping, Rebecca Shane Gaines, G.B.
