Rosa Lee Henderson Funeral services for Rosa Lee Henderson, 82, of Washington were held Friday, February 1, 2008, at the Mt. Nebo Baptist Church, Washington, with Rev. Charles Lacy officiating. Interment was in West Haven City Cemetery. She died Jan. 25. Mrs. Henderson was a native of Wilkes County and was the daughter of the late Glen and Lucy Hall. She received her formal education at the Mt. Nebo Elementary School and Washington High School, both in Wilkes County. She was a member of Mt. Nebo Baptist Church and served on the Mother Board and Pastor's Aide Committee. She worked for several families in and around the Wilkes County area. She was an active member of the Order of the Prince Hall Grand Chapter of the Eastern Star for 35 years. Survivors include her husband, Robert Louis Henderson; a daughter Carolyn Turner, a son, Ben Murray; three grandchildren, Robert Turner, Trudy Collins, and Elaine Maddox; six great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
McLendon Memorial Funeral Home of Washington was in charge of arrangements.
