Adult Bible Searchers class enjoys Valentine fellowship in Thomson The Adult Bible Searchers of the First Baptist Church enjoyed a Valentine fellowship at White Columns in Thomson Thursday evening, February 14. Class members and guests gathered in the Georgia Room where tables were beautifully decorated in a Valentine motif. Each was centered with a special stuffed Valentine animal that would later serve as a gift to a lucky recipient. Each place featured a Valentine cup with candy and other treats. Also at each place was a puzzle piece. Guests had to place their piece with others for a special message. Upon completion the large pink heart-shaped puzzle read "Happy Anniversary Pug and Kay" to honor the February 14th 43rd wedding anniversary of class members, Pug and Kay Nelms. Edward Pope Jr. offered the blessing before dinner. While waiting for salad and other dishes to be served, Teresa Bishop, social and outreach director, conducted a modified version of "The Newlywed Game" to the delight of some couples and the surprise of others. Other games were also enjoyed during the evening with much laughter and amusement.
