I hope you all have a good week. It went by real fast. .Dr. Leonard Dupree's sermon Sunday at Ebenezer Baptist Church was "Our World Is Fat and Starving," taken from scripture from the Old Testament, Isaiah 58:6-11, and from the New Testament, Matthew 25:31-46. The children's story was "Enough -- and Leftovers." Newton Gunter was in charge of children's church. Teresa Burdette kept the nursery for worship service. Mrs. Dupree was ill and not able to attend services Sunday. We wish for her a speedy recovery. .We are glad to hear that Bobby Myers is home from the hospital. We hope he continues to improve. .Mr. and Mrs. Kevin Davenport and Tyler of Hayesville, N.C., spent the weekend with Mrs. Lucille Ingram and Trudy. Mr. and Mrs. David Burke and Elizabeth Dunnaway joined them for dinner Sunday. .Miss Grace Dunaway and Alex Dunaway visited Beverly Teasley in Lincoln County and they enjoyed supper together. .Linda Standard and Sarah Huff went to Wrens to pick up Peyton Standard Saturday. He returned home to Lexington, S.C., Sunday evening. Linda visited her sister, Sarah, several times last week. .Saturday visitors of Mrs. Jenelle Newsome were Dr. Tom Cofer of Aiken, S.C.; Mrs Evelyn Cofer and Debbie Cofer of Washington. Jim and Karan Newsome visit often. .Lynn Gay returned home from Niceville, Fla., Saturday after a hunting trip. .We are sorry to hear that Robert Gay is seriously ill. We wish him well. .I visited my parents in Lincoln County Wednesday and Sunday. My mother celebrated her 86th birthday Wednesday and had a very nice day. Nan Goff and Ami Rominez of Mc- Cormick, S.C., visited, as well as Garnett Wallace. Several members of the church aolso visited her. On Sunday, Shannon Thomason, Taylor McAvoy, Wes Butler, Garnett Wallace, and I visited. .Sarah Huff and Linda Standard attended a bridal shower for Holly JKorna at the home of her cousin, Beth Conard. . Our prayer concerns include Jack Strother, Christopher Charping, Joe Charping, Leroy Hunt, Jerry Robinson, Bob Kirkland, Louise Willilams, Roy JOhnson, Jim Clubb, Edward Crook, Willie Ruth Freeman, Mona Hall and her family, Eddie Howard, Claude Prather, Eddie Harper, Henry Wallace, Lucy McCorkle, Jenelle Newsome, Bobby Myers, Thomas Charping, Lila Edwards, April Johnson, Jane Hudson, Linda Albea, Joann Flood, Joyce Bowen, Dr. and Mrs. Paul Barnwell, Mike Webb, Frank Turner Jr., Linda Stevens, Bonnie Boatwright, Frankie Carter, Brenda Cooper, Gary Rogers, Billy and Patricia Bailey, Helen Ross, Barry Bailey, Laverne Edwards, Ronnie Callaway, Charles Blakey, Ruth Bell, Bill Mobley, Hazel Combs, Dot Shank, Ethel Harris, Annie Kate Strother, Lois South, Mona Hall, the Maretts, Nancy Moon, Susan Morgan, Elmira Chafin,Henriette Leard, Boyce Lance, Will Lawson, John L. Bray, the George Wheatley family, the Coker family, our pastors, our churches, our government, our elderly, our youth, our friends, and our enemies. .We still have two puppies -- a male and a female.
