Planning underway for Wilsbary's Book, Bake, and Plant Sale May 2

The Friends of the Mary Willis Library met Thursday, February 14, to share their love of children's books. Favorite characters included Junie B, Alex the Alligator, Perri the Squirrel, Three Jumpy Kittens, Despereaux the Mouse, and Fergus the Dog.

Other favorite stories were from Dr. Seuss, Little Golden Books, Nursery Songs, and Wonder Books, featuring the Presidents of the United States.

Presenters were Lillie Crowe, Nita Latimer, Ruth Rogers, Lisa Luken, Betty Slaton, and Peggy Barnett.

The annual Wilsbary's Book, Bake, and Plant Sale will be held on Friday, May 2, beginning at 9:30 a.m. Anyone who can donate plants or baked goods should contact the library or any member of Friends. Books may be dropped off at the main desk of the library anytime before the end of April. Drop-off assistance is available at the library every Thursday.

Anyone who wishes to join Friends but was unable to attend this meeting should send. dues to Oliver Myers, Treasurer, P.O. Box 901, Washington 30673. Dues are $10 for individuals; $15.00 for families; $25.00, Good Friend; $50.00 for Best Friend. New members are always welcomed.
