Mary Hannah Batrous to marry Donny DeMore Saturday, May 31

Mary Hannah Batrous Donny DeMore

Mr. and Mrs. Joe Batrous of Thomson announce the engagement of their daughter, Mary Hannah, to Donny DeMore, son of Mr. and Mrs. Donny DeMore of Harlem.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Adams of Washington and Mr. and Mrs. Pete Batrous of Hoover, Ala.

She is a 2003 honor graduate of Briarwood Academy in Warrenton and a 2007 graduate of the University of Georgia in Athens where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Education. Miss Batrous teaches high school math at Briarwood Academy and also coaches the varsity softball and junior varsity girls' basketball teams and assists with the varsity girls' basketball team.

Mr. DeMore is the grandson of Mrs. Susie Bussell and the late Kenneth Bussell of Bullard and Mr. and Mrs. Donald DeMore of Lizella.

He is a 2004 graduate of Briarwood Academy and is pursuing a Bachelor of Business Management at Augusta State University in Augusta. Mr. DeMore works as a nuclear technician at Plant Vogtle in Waynesboro.

The wedding is planned for Saturday, May 31, at 3:30 p.m. at Abilene Baptist Church in Martinez.
